Tarangire is home to big elephants, Baobabs and contains the wonderful spectacle of the African savanna and it is also the meeting point for the mightiest components of the wilderness.
It is here, in northern Tanzania that magnificent herds of African Elephants mare to be found. Tarangire river life is spectacular during the dry season when the exceptional diversity of wildlife comes back to the permanent waters of that river.
Day after day of cloudless skies, the fierce sun sucks the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, the withered grass as brittle as straw. The Tarangire River has shriveled to a shadow of its wet season but it is choked with wildlife.
Thirsty nomads have wandered hundreds of perched kilometers knowing that here, always, there is water. Located a distance of 75 miles southwest of Arusha, the park is accessible throughout the year.Book with us
